Fluence Bioengineering – 2020

Launched in Q4 2020, the latest generation of the Fluence VYPR series includes several new mounting configurations and six spectra offerings. These options, coupled with a lower sales price, were curated for market expansion into European commercial agriculture.

Role:

I managed the mechanical design of all heatsinks, hanging brackets, and hardware to enable deployment in greenhouses across the globe.

Design Considerations:

Redesign heatsink with reduced material cost and updated product branding
Expand hanging hardware options for perpendicular, side of truss, and underneath supply mounting
Incorporate DUO mounting configuration designed to mimic light distribution of traditional HPS lighting
Update material specifications for CE compliance
