Fluence Bioengineering – 2020

Awarded Best Lighting Development at the 2021 Vertical Farming World Congress, the RAZR Modular System features highly configurable fixtures for seamless integration into a variety of vertical racks. Utilizing formed PCBs rather than traditional heatsinks, the RAZR Modular offers unparalleled flexibility in a low-profile design.

Role:

I was responsible for the development of hanging brackets and wireforms to enable deployment in commercial vertical farms. I was also tasked with the creation of photorealistic renderings for use on the company website.

Design Considerations:

  • Adapt sheet metal brackets to provide rigid spacing for 3, 4, 6, and 8 bar configurations, while accommodating existing fixture accessories
  • Design custom wireforms for toolless installation in standard grow racks
  • Collaborate with industry partners to develop modular cabling harnesses with a variety of custom connectors
